Instead of entering an SMS OTP, you’ll now receive a push notification in the stc pay app whenever you’re making an eligible online card payment.

Simply tap the notification, review the payment details—including the merchant name, transaction amount, date, and masked card number and approve the transaction instantly.

What’s new?

  • Approve eligible online card payments with just one tap.
  • Review your payment details before confirming.
  •  No need to wait for an SMS OTP.
  • Can’t access the app? Simply select “Use Alternative Method” to receive an SMS OTP instead.

How it works

  1. Verify through stc pay app
  2. Review in the stc pay app
  3. Confirm the Approval
  4. Done, back to merchant

This new approval method is available for online merchants that use 3D Secure authentication. If a merchant doesn’t support 3D Secure, your payment experience will remain unchanged.
